Organization vs Individual

FundHero has two ways of distinguishing contacts. Organizations and Individuals.

Organization

If Organization is selected, the contact will be recognized as an organization. You will enter in the organization title in the Organization box and FundHero will pull that as the main name. Anything listed under first and last name will be recognized as secondary information.

In this example the Type is Organization. It then pulls SHIELD from the Organization category and puts it as the main contact. Nick Fury’s name is listed as first and last name because he is the main point of contact for SHIELD so his name appears below.

Individual

If Individual is selected, the contact is recognized as an individual. The information entered into first and last name will be the priority information. Any information listed under Organization will be seen secondary.

In this example, Steve Rogers is listed as an Individual. So Steve Rogers appears as the main contact, and The Avengers appears below as the organization he is a part of.

Editing a contact’s type:

  1. Click Contacts in the main navigation bar
  2. Click on the contact you would like to edit
  3. Click the edit icon
  4. In the Type box select Organization or Individual
  5. Click Save Contact

This will then make the adjustments in the contacts so you’re viewing the correct information first.

You can also set this from the beginning when you import contacts.
